Please can you help a newbee.
I bought a WH1080 in June and have been using Easy Weather since then, which has been driving me up the wall as it's so un user friendly.
I instaled Cumulus yesterday. I followed the help menu and set up bits, but I think I've either missed something or got a box incorrectly ticked as I can't get Cumulus to download the data.
I've set for fine weather etc, com port 0 and USB. Anything I wasn't sure about I left as the default setting.
I'm running on XP.
Please help

The first thing to check - have you left Easyweather running? If you haven't (which is correct), then please zip up the Cumulus diags folder and attach it.

HI
have the same WH1081 station
use easy weather to set 10 min interval as it`s default is 30 mins
then close Easy Weather and do the same for cumulus
Hope this helps V1.9.1 Build 965

Thanks for all that, however, when I fired up Cumulus last thing last night it seemed to work. The only thing that was different was that my weather station was already plugged in so now I'm wonderering if it was just my computer having a funny five minutes?!
I've just tried it again and all seems to be working ok (download box came up and data there).
I seem to remeber reading somewhere that I can't tranfer my old data over from Easy weather (I've only got 6 months worth anyway). Is this right? If not how can I do it.
Thanks for the help.

Just to clarify - do you mean that previously you were starting Cumulus and then plugging the station in? That doesn't work, the station has to be plugged in before you start Cumulus.

Thanks Steve,
Yes the first time I fired it up I think I plugged in after starting Cumulus.
The skies have cleared and everything is now crystal clear!!! (well in my brain anyway!)

On a slighly different note, I would like to put cumulus on our home computer as well ( this is my work laptop). Can i export weather data from here to the home computer ( or third parties for that matter) or is it best to do it by connecting the weather station to both computers.
Would also be handy to send data in excel speadsheet form as well, is that possible?
Had a quick search of the help file but didn't find it.
Thanks

You can copy the contents of the data folder between computers.

The main log files are in CSV format, which Excel can read.

Could you not just copy the entire cumulus folder to a USB Memory Stick and have "cumulus portable"
