Re: Ballina nsw weather V2.0
Just looked at it for the first time - immediate reaction - Urghhh! Sorry - get RID of the moon phase and wind speed/direction from the top half (and do you REALLY need to tell people what the gauges are????)
Also - why have TWO sets of the same gauges on the page? Just in case you miss it in the first place?
As has been said before - you don;t want people having to scroll down to see the pertinent information which, at present, you HAVE to do on your page.
I am going through the same re-design but keeping the information I want displayed on top (I still have to move the text stating what the site is about) - have a look here http://mtb-images.dyndns.org:1088/weather/index.php
(BTW note that I am using PHP files - your orginal quesiton about what files Cumulus can generate - add PHP to the list - the template files are copied as *.php files which allows me to use includes to ensure menus, footers, headers etc are consistent across every page).

Hey
I like your opinion there i was thinking of removing the real time wind data but keeping the wind gauges as many of my friends and my teacher liked that, the moon phase also i love so its staying put,
I know nothing at all about php so im not going to try that (yet)
i still dont understand why on my graphs page the thumbnails wont load?
Antonio

I wasn't saying get rid of the moon and gauges - just DON'T put them right at the top - if you must have a scrollable page, put them down the bottom - after all, you are presenting weather data, not astronomical data.

And not sure what you mean by 'thumnails won;t load' - they are all loading fine for me. Do a force refresh of the web page (CTRL-F5 if you are using any flavour of IE)

Re: Ballina nsw weather V2.0
Just to double check I tried another PC in the house and it is able to click on, change, and show all the different graphs - they are slow to load but they arfe definately loading OK. (The one I was just looking at, to confirm, was temppm.png 24631 bytes - properties give file name as temppm.png?1291192246130 if this helps you track anything down)

Safari says:

trends.htm: line42 - ReferenceError: Can't find variable: MM_preloadImages
So you need to fix your html as well as your javascript

The graphs do actually display in FF, but on the Graphs button space on your navigation menu!

Re: Ballina nsw weather V2.0
The line 106 error isn't one - the matching <p> is at line 101 - so this one should be OK.DaveNZ wrote:Safari says:

The </script> at line 32 is right though - that needs to be removed.
The line 42 problem - not 100% sure about this one.
Fix the </script> issue (remove that line) and try it again.
IE will quite often run a script file even with these errors whereas all the other browsers won't (one of their shouting points that they are 'strict' - forgetting the fact that they often completely break sites that do have mistakes/errors in them...
