I should video my PHP trianing

Post by daj »

I was wandering along to road to work this morning, planning my day -- I am teaching an intro to PHP today. I should be recording it and upload it. LOL

You really should, I remember reading your instructions re CSS and you are an excellent instructor. It would be great if you ran online interactive courses (I guess that would be too much for skype?), I'd sign up & pay. ;)

... I was just wondering how many gigabytes of video it would take just to explain some of the basic 'optional' syntax, and how many weeks it would take to explain that (just like JavaScript) some of the 'simple' functions are actually horrendous for the CPU and you would be better (sometimes) coding it the 'long way'

.... then of course, there's the bits about which version you are coding for, and if all the environment variables have been set up on the host server.

No wonder codesters sleep very little and always find a bug or logic error years later

Great idea David

Why not record and upload to Youtube with a link from the Forum

You realise that once you start ....... we will all want more (PHP, CSS, HTML etc) ;)

I for one will certainly be watching and learning

This sounds great, I can't wait for the video to be available.
