A couple of times recently my router has failed to boot properly (no server connection even though the indicator lights show good) and the overnight upload to WU has failed. Rebooting the router and restarting cumulus didn't fix it.

It only attempts to upload entries as they're downloaded from the logger, if they fail, there's no mechanism for storing them and retrying them later. If you want it to retry, you'll have to 'rewind' using the backup files to get it to download them from the logger again.
