Antonio, commenting about Cumulus ('free software') like this is a bit rude and will not help you to get the problem resolved.

You still have 191 958 installed, the latest BETA is 191 962 so how have you installed 'new' Cumulus?

Fair enough, other software is available.

Personally, I would stick with the latest non-beta version (v1.9.0) if I were getting problems, and let the brave beta testers sort out all of the bugs.

I agree. Unless you want to help debug the software, stick with the tried and tested version.

Maybe your device has a fault? You definitely have a problem somewhere, and I doubt it is Cumulus as it is as stable as a rock

Why not revert back to the EasyWeather software for a while to prove (or not) that your PC is able to communicate with the console via USB

You seem to have high winds there at the moment. How stable is your rain collector mounted?

The rain collector is on a bracket 1/4 way up my weatherstations pole never had trouble with it at all as easy weather is also reading from it fine but all of a sudden i get a 220 000 rainfall rate reading in cumulus so weird.

Antonio,

That hasn't really answered my question. Although the rain collector is mounted on a pole, how stable is it?

You seem to get invalid rain readings when the wind is high. Any movement on the pole may cause the rain bucket to tip (with or without rain).
