I had a look at the box in Jaycar yesterday and it is printed on the box 'Solar UV sensor' but I couldn't find any reference to the UV sensor in the manual that is on the Jaycar website although it does mention setting up the solar panel. The easyweather screen shots didn't show any UV section and the pic of the console also didn't.

For AU$199.00 I'll wait until it is discounted as the old price (Without the solar panel) was AU$149.00, and one manager came down to AU120.00 a couple of months ago as a replacement unit. Thought I'd wait until the solar model came onto the shelf as he did say at the time it would be the same price. :(

Oh well!

Next time I'm in there I'll take a pic of the box to post here.

I think the WH3080/3081 is a newer, improved model to what Jaycar have in stock at the moment. Same instruments (except for the UV sensor), different console.

Steve,

I purchased a WH3081 and received it today, it sure does work with Cumulus except its missing the UV and light readings.

Please let me know if I can assist in anyway to enable compatibility with the WH3081 and Cumulus.

What we''l need to do is try to work out which parts of the memory represent those readings. I'm assuming that they are not held in the usual place with the other data - there's no room - and hence can only be read 'live', i.e. not from the logger data. Does the supplied version of Easyweather display the solar data?

They have actually updated EasyWeather which is now called EasyWeather Pro, both light and UV readings are displayed in the new version.

Would you like me to send you a copy of EasyWeather Pro?

"Pro" eh? Time to think about adding that to Cumulus, perhaps...

Thanks, but it wouldn't really be any use. I'll need a few memory dumps taken at the same time as noting the current UV and solar radiation readings. I'll have to write a 'dumper' - although I guess someone else has already done that; Jim Easterbrook, perhaps. Or Michael Pendec's original software.

What units does it use for solar radiation?

Sorry just had a look now its actually called EasyWeather Plus not Pro, in fact I don't think Fine Offset have a link to this software on their web page so here's a link if you ever need a copy:-

http://www.daygle.net/Downloads/EasyWeatherPlus.zip

Light can be displayed in two measurements lux and fc.

That's interesting - the UV and solar data are in the history. Could you run Cumulus and let me have the diags file, please? And let me know what your UV and Solar values are at the time?

Sure can, are you after the debug log? If not, where can I find the diags?

There are a set of files created in the diags folder in the Cumulus installation. Cumulus.009 is always the most recent. Just start Cumulus up, noting the UV and solar values on the console, then attach the cumulus.009 file here.
