This is causing me big problems as it gave in-acurate reading during strong winds.

Re: resetting rain count
You have have posted this in the Cumulus version 2 forum -- Was this in error? I am guessing you actually mean version 1
Once we establish the version we can tell you how to adjust the rain.
(PS -- Version 2 is an alpha release of the product)

Re: resetting rain count
So, back to the question....Resetting your rain.
It depends when the rainfall occurred. If it is not today or yesterday then edit the dayfile.txt and adjust the total rainfall as required. This is the total rain for each day. You may wish to also be tidy and change the dat in the appropriate monthly log file. (not important for Cumulus itself but if you want to refer back to detail it might be good to fix it)
When editing the file you need to close down Cumulus. Using something like Notepad, or Notepadd++ is best. Excel at a push but be careful when saving it back as a CSV
File formats.

Also, this may help if it was today/yesterday http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_sta ... it_to_zero
Long term, you want to get your rain collector off the pole and onto something solid like a wall, roof, etc.
