Ahhhh That's absolutely brilliant.... I will purchase now....and download your software AND probably donate as well as soon as I see everything working.

Do you know (by remote chance) if it would work also with Weather Underground, and/or Virtual Weather Station software (which I have and paid lads for)

Nick

Cumulus supports WU uploads.

I don't think so; Ed (at Ambient) sells rebadged FO stations, and he recommends his customers to use Cumulus. I'd imagine if VWS worked with FO stations he would suggest they buy that instead.

Hi Steve

Thanks for the info... that's brill.

Anyone want to buy a licenced copy of Virtual Weather? No, only kidding, honest. Never liked it that much anyway.

New weather station ordered and on it's way.... Cumulus downloaded and prepped ready..... Come on Mr Postman I am getting excited about joining the Cumulus Appreciation Society

(love my yearly holidays in Orkney, Burray. What a beautiful place you live in.)

I hope the Solar is detachable or else you may need to put the transmitter out in the sun.

Hi There

The solar is detachable but doesn't really have a means of fixing to anything. It push-fits to the top of the temp sensor as manufactured. Hopefully it is powerful enough to power the two AA batteries in the temp sensor. They advise facing it South (in the N hemisphere) to get max sun. Watch this space and I will let you know.

Anyone know if there s a way to tweak the years rain in Cumulus? Having just set this new station going, my total annual rain is only what has fallen in a week. I do have the total for the year from my old weather station, so if there is an editable file, I could correct it. Anyone????

All that said....Cumulus is fab!!!! Love it to bits. It set up with this Fine Offset station instantly with no tweaks required other than correcting local pressure. I am uploading to Weather Underground, CWOP, Twitter, and now my own websire too which is www.oldfelixstowe.co.uk

All set up in minutes. Guys you have a great and well formed piece of software here; I look forward to enhancements over time. I run Win7 on one heck of a beast (i7-850 pro, 6gb ram etc etc)

Thanks for reading.... Nick White

In the station settings there is a box for year-to-date rainfall.

Hi Steve

I have altered the annual rainfall s you suggested. However, it still displays the annual total as 18.6 in the main form on Cumulus and the website is the same. is there a way to get the updated figure of 210.6mm to appear as the annual total in the web page and on the main display please? I updated it at around 2pm today so it has had plenty long enough to play catch up. Can you advise please? Mnay thanks...sorry to be a pain. :o)

Nick White (if you are good I will donate) :o)

The YTD figure takes effect on the next restart of Cumulus - the help does make this clear. Have you restarted Cumulus since you entered the YTD figure?

Oh God.... I am starting to make a nuisance of myself here.

I must have something set wrong somewhere although I cannot see what or where.

We have had 1.2mm of rain in the last half an hour. Quick shower. Okay.. the weather station is displaying it as Rain 1hr = 1.2mm. Cumulus is showing no rain, and therefore my website isn't, nor is Weather Underground etc. (obviously). I have stopped and restarted Cumulus and that hasn't changed it. I have done a web update, and (as expected) that hasn't changed anything.

What I cannot fathom is why Cumulus does't 'seem' to be picking up that data from the weather station. I have tried looking through help for any clues. All other data seems to be uploading okay.

I am really am sorry to be a pain, but I so want this all to work well, and am sure it is just tweaks that are needed.

Any ideas very gratefully received.

Can you paste the last hour or so of entries from nov10log.txt here, please?
