Weather Underground problem

Well station was up and running with everyones help here. Thanks! Problem is it hasn't made the forecast page of Wunderground. They say allow 24 hours for their servers to update and it working on over 48 hours now. I've sent a trouble ticket yesterday and has gone unanswered.

Wunderground shows my site active and I can even go to my history page and see they are receiving all the data as Cumulus transmits it and I've quadruple checked all settings. The station doesn't show up in Weather Exchange either and assume that is because it has not propagated to their forecast page yet. Kinda discouraging after the work this past week and expense. Here's the link that shows my history page and the fact they are receiving my data fine...

Has anyone else experienced this or have any ideas? Again if you go to "my stations" it has shown "Active" for 2 days now and history page is accessible with all data received from Cumulus. Since they have not answered my trouble ticket I haven't a clue. Maybe their servers don't update on the weekends? Kind of a bummer lol to go thru all tis for just me to sit here looking at my history page .:(

Where is it exactly that you are expecting your data to show up? I'm not aware of anywhere else other than the place you've linked to.

Presumably you mean this page

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/fin ... uery=93442

If you look down the left hand side, for a drop down menu, to change the source, it should be on your PWS, rather than a local airport source. The forecast itself, is not gained from your PWS

Unless of course you mean the actual "weather exchange" programme download, and that it's not showing up in there? in which case, i would contact Weather Exchange themselves, rather than Wunderground,

Ah, right - the "current conditions". Tony's data isn't available as an option from the drop-down, but it should be. Possibly WU need to do some sort of database update.

Ahh yeah, I didn't check that, now looking yeah, I agree it isn't there, which is very strange, and it isn't listed at the bottom of that page either, under the complete PWS list.

Only thing i can suggest, is either contact them again, or just delete the account, and start again. I know mine came through very quickly indeed <24hrs.

There are a heck of a lot of stations in that area, i don't get why yours has been missed

Steve is right n the money. I'm not showing up on the forecast page. I've done a trouble ticket to them with no reply and it's been over 24 hours.

As far as Weather Exchange yes I've contacted Ed from Ambient Weather, however they get their data for Weather Exchange from Wunderground (partnership). Until my site goes live on Wundeground's forecast page (as Steve mentioned) it won't show up in Weather Exchange.

The fact Wunderground IS receiving all my data both current and logged stats from my station thru Cumulus I have no idea why I'm not showing up?! Sure getting very frustrating..... Starting all over again in the middle of a trouble ticket may just cause mer even more problems :-( Least they could do is respond to my ticket :-(

Oh, I agree Tony, but you need a cutoff point, maybe at the end of the week? if you haven't heard from them by then, start it over, you don't have to delete your entire account, just that paticular station.

Yeah I guess. It's just so odd and frustrating knowing they are receiving ALL my data yet my site doesn't show. Guess I'll wait a bit and see IF they repsond. Hopefully Ed from Ambient will also make an inquiry to Wunderground on my behalf as well. I agree with Steve. Something in their data base update isn't happening, either the server isn't updating as it should and with the trouble ticket I did they should be able to resolve this.

Incidentally what I mean as "Forecast Page" is as already detected if you type in my zip code etc for a local forecast I'm not showing up. The term "Forecast Page" is Wunderground's own term for that described on the "manage my station" link. There's a station on the waterfront about 1.5 miles from em that keeps coming and going from the list as well. Sometimes it shows it is 0 miles from me then other times it shows the 1.5 miles so it sounds to me as if they are experiencing some sort of database issue. A courtersy reply on my ticket would sure be nice though.

Also under the "Modify Or Add Your Weather Station" link there is no option for deleting the station. If I add another it would be duplicate. Guess I'll wait it out and hopefully they'll respond. Thanks for all the input gang! :-) I'll post any updates as I get them just for future reference in case this happens to somebody else down the line.

Well I must say this whole adventure has been one of the worst and most disappointing I've encountered. It's going on 4 days now and my station still does not show up in the drop down box for the forecast page nor in Weather Exchange. I'm on the map, all my data is showing fine on my history page. Everything looks fine EXCEPT I'm not showing up in the forecast area. Wunderground has not responded to my trouble ticket or subsequent inquiries. There is no option to even delete your station to start over, something I don't care to do. I could write them and ask, but since they will not for whatever reason repsond to my trouble ticket I doubt they would answer that email inquiry as well. I guess all I can do is try to get my network engineer brother to maker a visit to the coast and utilizing Cumulus upload to my website. Other than that in a day or 2 I'll make contact with their corporate office and file a complaint about the lack of service. I just don't understand why they have not at least made a courtesy reply to my ticket? I've wanted to do this a long time now and everything went smooth as it could right up to the very end and then fell flat. If all else fails I'll just take it all down and put it on Craig's List I guess. The only humorous part of that would be the person who buys it would probably be on line live with their station in under 24 hours lol. 4 days now and I'm at a point I know of nothing else to do except look at my site on a map while nobody else can find me. Sheeh!

Tony, something else must be wrong. I submitted a ticket last week and in a couple of days they got back to me with the fix.

Randy I just don't know what avenue to take on this since they won't repsond. I have no other alternatives available other than contact their corporate office. They won't respond and I've made a few inquiries. Something is wrong alright, but I have no idea how to even go about it if they won't contact/respond to me? I tried their form support thing on line as well as normal email, neither has resulted in any activity or response. I even gave them my phone number as suggested if my situation wasn't resolved. Nothing........ I'm at a dead end :-(

When you go to wunderground then Manage Stations, do you see "Active" in green?
