Randy in answer to your question............. yes it is and has been active in green since last Friday and has been transmitting data 24/7 since. I'm on the map, you can access my data all the way back to Friday. Everything is right on except I am not showing up on the forecast page, so people are not seeing me when they search by my town name or zip, nor am I showing up in Weather Exchange. Even Ed at Ambient Weather can't explain it and he says as Steve says he see's my data and map etc fine.

I understand there can be glitches and data base errors and all that, but the irritating and depressing part is Wunderground won't communicate with me. I'm dead in the water at this point...........

You got me on this one. The only time it dropped mine was when i didn't have my computer on for long enough.
I assume you are leaving your computer feeding wunderground most of the time. Even with the updater Steve added, wunderground may drop you off the list if you don't feed them pretty regular.

You might try leaving it on 24 hours a day for a few days. That's the best I have to offer.

Randy

Something else to try might be to re-submit your station details, i.e. edit them but don't change anything. Might kick something into action...

Randy I have been transmitting data to them 24/7 since last Friday noon. If you visit my history page you'd see it all. Shows current conditions every time I look. I'm on th map, it shows my current data and everything.

Steve... Actually I d already what you suggest... no go. I did edit the name (shortened it) and it took fine. On my history page all the cool stickers are even there for me to ad to my website and even shows my current data.

Everything is functioning to the "T" except I'm not showing up for people to find me on the forecast page.

Since Wunderground refuses to communicate with me and resolve the issue I guess I'm done. I see no other choice. :( I have contacted my brother who is a network engineer to download Cumulus so he can see what I see and help walk me thru setting my website up direct with Cumulus. I\He hosts my website for me so the ftp issue is not a problem, but we use Joomla templates and he will have top decide whether Cumulus will work with Joomla 1.5 My bro Mark is a busy guy so have no idea when this might happening. I might as well quit transmitting 24/7 to Wunderground since it's obvious they aren't going to help me. The whole project to this point has been a total waste of time and money except for Cumulus which has performed flawlessly. As for Wunderground? I'm done with them. They've given me no choice. I can't even communicate with them.

Thank you both much for your replies.

Tony

Long Story short.... I had reached a point of frustration with this whole mess I finally after a little investigative work (left over from the job lol) I contacted one of the Board of Directors with Weather Underground. Not sure if that was the impact and corrective measure, but this morning I woke up to find my site live on the forecast page AND in Weather Exchange. Kudos to whoever made it work. I've still not received any kind of reply to my trouble tickets and not really concerned about that at this point as long as my station works. 8-) This has been a long road let me tell ya

FD,

I think you have passed your problem onto me, mine has vanished, can gain my history,

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstat ... =IISLEOFA4

but my station has vanished from the dropdown list, AND the rapidfire page is not updating,

http://www.wunderground.com/swf/Rapid_F ... =IISLEOFA4

My own website is updating, as is my realtime page

http://www.h-i-r.org.uk/weather/CumulusRealtime.html

So i presume, its wunderground thing similar to yours

Sheesh, it sure sounds like the very same thing. It was never explained to me why this occurred, just that it was fixed. I almost bet once the sever updates it'll be back. I think they have some server "burps" going on. With the number of sites they host I can only imagine the databases need constant monitoring and server updates. Are you on Weather Exchange? I doubt it if you dropped off Wunderground's list as Weather Exchange draws from that not visa versa. The only other reasons I know of and Steve or someone may know more is that if for some reason you stop sending them data for a bit you can drop off OR if your readings are way out of line and in your case no. I feel your pain tho

Remember mine was on the map the whole time and history page was available and all, I just wasn't available on the forecast page drop down or in Weather Exchange. Sounds almost the very same thing :-( I'd leave it on then. If you've been off the server needs to catch your data on line. If it's off it certainly won't pick you back up. I believe in your case being down for the 4 days you got dropped so leave it on and the server should pick it back up. It might take up to 24 hours.

possibly, but i was showing on the list a little earlier, maybe it's as you say and just a "server burp", leave it for now then, thanks mate

4811.829 : 22:43:58 Response Code: 200 Response = success

4813.063 : 10/11/2010 22:44:00 Minute timer 44
4813.063 : Adding LH entry, ts = 22:44:00 raintot = 0

4813.063 : raindiff = 0rainmult = 1
so it has to be there side i guess

Yep, just not on the forecast page. Let it run so it'll pick it back up. If you don't it'll leave you off for sure because you aren't sending them data! I'm almost certain the server dropped ya since you were down those 4 days.
