Steve,
Having just installed build 958 and looked at the new highs/lows feature I have a couple of observations. I'm attaching my dayfile.txt so you can see my records.
Firstly, Yesterday's temperature records show -999C for four records - High Heat Index, Lowest Wnd Chill, Highest Apparent Temperature and Lowest Apparent Temperature.
Next, This Month temperature records show High / Low Temperatures the same 11.2C instead of 12.4C and 8.0C (today's high and low so far).
Finally, This Year Highest Hourly Rain shows 0.00 at 19:00 1 November when it should be 6.26"/hr at 16:45 on 12 Aug 2010.
I appreciate some of these may change once a record for 1/11/2010 exists on dayfile.txt but the high rain rate is definitely wrong.

Re: Build 958 - Records from Dayfile.txt incorrect
After it's processed the dayfile.txt looking for this month's entries (and of course it won't find any today), it looks at the data it read from today.ini at start up, and uses those to adjust the figures. I can see what I've done wrong in the code now, but I definitely tested this and it worked OK, somehow. Your other points are because these are new highs and lows not present in previous versions.

No worries Steve. There are so many variants of the data in dayfile.txt.steve wrote:After it's processed the dayfile.txt looking for this month's entries (and of course it won't find any today), it looks at the data it read from today.ini at start up, and uses those to adjust the figures. That occured to me after I posted.Your other points are because these are new highs and lows not present in previous versions.
Can I make a suggestion regarding how these new High/Low records are read? A second tabbed row showing yesterday / this month / this year would make navigating to different records a lot easier. Is that something you could do if you wanted?

Well, yes, but I don't like multiple rows of tabs (I don't like the way C2 is at the moment, for example). I suppose it could have a column of tabs down the side. But it took a lot of tedious work to get it how it is, so it's staying as it is, for now, at leastRayProudfoot wrote:Can I make a suggestion regarding how these new High/Low records are read? Okay, understood. I, like all users, appreciate the extra tags. I'll just have to view the new data on my website instead.steve wrote:Well, yes, but I don't like multiple rows of tabs (I don't like the way C2 is at the moment, for example). I expanded my Access database to include Previous Year records. When you run out of things to do that's another one you can add.

I like the new build Steve. One small issue I have is its displaying the "Low Temperature" and the "Lowest Maximum" correctly but it says these occurred in July, when they actually occurred in January.

I attached the new log file "year"
Just noticed this: The date should be 01/07,but it logged at 07/01...?

Re: Build 958 - Records from Dayfile.txt incorrect
I've completely screwed up the conversion of dates to US format when I'm initialising the monthly and yearly highs on the first run. All of your months and days will be the wrong way round - or if not the wrong way round, incorrect in some other way.
