Essential 10 minute memory interval?

Hi
I've been using my USB wireless station for a month with Easyweather software, which I have found rather limiting.
I am not a computer buff, but have used basic computer software for many years!
I am considering using Cumulus, but am a little worried about changing the memory interval on my station from 30 minutes to 10 minutes. IS THIS ESSENTIAL when using Cumulus? My worry is in limiting the memory of my station to 28 days ... I occasionally go away for 6 or 8 weeks & had anticipated that the weather station would continue to keep my records while I was away.
I should be very grateful for an early reply - I hoped to start using Cumulus to capture all my November records.
Many Thanks,

You can use whatever interval you wish; normally I would recommend setting the interval as low as possible, but in your case, if you actually need the logger to cover a long period, then that's what you should do. I wouldn't recommend going to an hour or more, as that may cause problems in Cumulus detecting when a new day has started.

Thank you  Tonight I shall endeavour to set up Cumulus for my station in Charente, SW France.

I installed Cumulus about two months ago. You will find it very helpful to download the installation guide, read the Wiki pages and check the Cumulus "Help" sections as you go through the setup.

You will be glad you installed Cumulus.
