I'm noticing that in the Cumulus status window is says Battery 0v.
Is this normal and\or expected behavior?

It's supposed to show the console battery voltage (so should be around 4.5V); it's working OK with my VP2, and I don't see why it shouldn't work OK with the Vue also. Was it working OK before you installed the beta version?

I'm getting a "low console batteries" warning. I'll switch-out the batteries and see if the error message disappears after that.steve wrote:It's supposed to show the console battery voltage (so should be around 4.5V); it's working OK with my VP2, and I don't see why it shouldn't work OK with the Vue also. That's a bit worrying. Have a look for the recent thread from another Vue owner who had that problem and ended up getting a replacement from Davis.THX wrote:I'm getting a "low console batteries" warning.

I opened the battery cover this morning and to my horror a bunch of white calcified chunks fell out. All of the batteries were wasted and it may have ruined the unit.steve wrote:That's a bit worrying. I should have stated that I am using a Vantage Pro2 console with my Vantage Vue unit.
Right now in Cumulus the battery is reading 3.14 volts. Is this normal?
A suggestion for the Cumulus interface may be to change it to "Console Battery" instead of just "Battery."

No; it's 3x 1.5v C cells, so should be around 4.5V.THX wrote:Right now in Cumulus the battery is reading 3.14 volts. Is this normal?
Yes, I could do that (and there is space) - I just thought it was obvious, given that the transmitter battery status is down at the bottom.A suggestion for the Cumulus interface may be to change it to "Console Battery" instead of just "Battery."

Looks like I'm going to have to RMA the console. That's a shame.
Thanks for your help.

Are all your new batteries definitely OK? If only two of them were good, you'd get around 3v.

I tried switching to all three new batteries and I still only got 3.14v.steve wrote:Are all your new batteries definitely OK? If only two of them were good, you'd get around 3v.
I had a spare Vantage Pro2 console and I switched to my spare and sure enough I am getting 4.78v now. It's good to have a spare!
I'll contact Davis and RMA this unit. This will be interesting to see how well the RMA process goes.

Re: Battery 0v (Build 957)
By the way, thanks for making the change in Cumulus where the the screen now says "Console Battery." That is very helpful.
