FTP Problem

Post by VK6TNC »

Cumulus has been working fine for weeks when suddenly it stopped updating web pages. The realtime wind roses still worked. In ftp log I received a message saying error 421, too many connections from this IP.

When I turned off realtime reporting it works ok.....Any ideas ?

It's unlikely that in a normal situation that you would be using more FTP connections that your web space provider allows; Cumulus would only ever use 2, plus whatever you happen to be using yourself. So perhaps you have had some sort of problem with your connections such that they have been left open.

If you are still in this situation, have a look at the connections from your PC using netstat (or whatever you would normally use for this) to see if you really do have lots of open FTP connections to your web server.

It appears my provider 000site.net will only allow one connection per IP address.
