Hi Adam,

Welcome to the forum.

What country are you in? That may have some bearing on the answer. I have read somewhere that someone in New Zealand supplies spares, but nowhere else.

Which wind sensor - vane or anemometer? And what's broken? We may be able to suggest a way of mending it. How long have you had it? It may still be under warranty.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Hi, i'm from the United Kingdom. I've had the weather station over a year now and therefore its out of warranty.

Its the wind sensor of which measures wind speed, basically what has happened is due to moving house one of the 3 spokes have snapped straight of leaving only 2 attached.

I can supply the Anemometer, wind direction and transmitters but only for New Zealand. Sorry, not practical to send to UK unless you are desperate :-)

Ah yes, I see, rather difficult to repair. I imagine it's broken off right at the base. There are adhesives, such as epoxy resin (eg. Araldite) that will glue plastics. You also have to arrange to hold the two parts together while the glue sets. Polystyrene packaging can often be hacked about to support awkward shapes.

Thank You for your quick replies. Terry have you got a website for these parts in New Zealand?

Great idea Gina, but the broken piece isn't in very good condition.

Hi Adam,

I'm not sure if this would help but many of us have bought this item http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=228825 as spares for rebadged Fine Offset stations should we ever need them. You may well find this is overall a better option. Just a thought ;)

Clas Ohlson sell them (£16.25 for an anemometer), but I don't think they do mail order. They're also selling complete stations for £49.99 currently.
