1.9.1 (957) Records form
Steve
A couple of things about the new page.
The apparent high or low new record lights re-liight for the same value at each read of my FO.
The "highest daily rainfall" record shouldn't have the time in the string.
The new USB code seemed to work OK so far with my FO.

Do you have wind at the moment? It may take a little time to settle. Mine took a few minutes as the wind affected the value. I'm guessing it will change many times over the coming few days too as it is a new value being recorded.mcrossley wrote:The apparent high or low new record lights re-liight for the same value at each read of my FO.

David, ah yes, I guess the value is fluctuating at a decimal place below that being displayed - hadn't thought of that. However the record was/is being flagged at the station reads between the 45 second updates. I guess the average will still be moving then though. Maybe the record comparison needs to be done after rounding? Otherwise its hard to kill the light if the value is still 'around' the record.

Well... maybe. It's the time that rain was last recorded on that day. Not exactly wrong to have it there, but possibly superfluous. I just kept it as it was in the previous version.mcrossley wrote:The "highest daily rainfall" record shouldn't have the time in the string.
The apparent temp new record comparison probably should be rounded, but it's done in exactly the same way for all the other values.

Fair 'nugh. Though the apparent (and HInd) being calculated 'bounce' around a bit more with wind speed?

Yes, because they're calculated, on each 10-second read, and if you're using a calculated wind speed that can vary more often than the station average wind speed. Heat Index just depends on temp and humidity, so shouldn't vary quite so often. They should all settle down after a while. But I do agree that the comparison should really allow for the number of decimals actually displayed, as otherwise it could be confusing. I should really be holding everything as scaled integersmcrossley wrote:Fair 'nugh. Though the apparent (and HInd) being calculated 'bounce' around a bit more with wind speed?

Re: 1.9.1 (957) Records form
It's how I did it in the original version of Cumulus, when it was just one set of units and one type of weather station - easy. Then I added the other units and the other weather stations, with differing resolutions, and I got lazy and turned everything into floats.mcrossley wrote:Hmm, I seem to remember suggesting that myself a while back.steve wrote:I should really be holding everything as scaled integers

Really like the new record setup. Very clean looking, easy to read record information. Tab text could be bigger though.
