Problem in "Trends" etc.

Post by dionaea »

Can anyone explain why when I click on the thumbnail for rainfall it shows a zero line on the enlargement. The other thumbnails work OK. Secondly - a minor niggle which I correct & then after a few days it changes is as follows:- if you look at my main page it says "Welcome to Burnham Thorpe weather..............Horatio Nelson and then a couple of symbols or letters appear at the end!! I remove them by going into Configuration/Station in Cumulus, deleting the extras & clicking OK. This solves the problem for a few days & then something else appears! Very puzzling.
I run version 1.8.8 in Vista. :?

Cheers,
Chris

Your large "rain today" image isn't being updated. Have a look in the web folder in Cumulus to see if the image in there is the same, then we'll know whether it's an ftp problem or something else.

Hi Steve,
I have been through all the rain graphs in the Web folder & all are updating OK. I have just re-installed Cumulus on my XP computer replacing the data & web folder with my own from the older installation. The same thing has happened, so I assume that the problem must be somewhere in those 2 folders. Still sticking with 1.8.8 Build 877.

Cheers,
Chris

If the graphs are updating on your PC but not on your web site, then it must be an ftp problem. Turn on ftp logging and see if an error is logged for the rain today graph.

Someone else had the same problem recently with their server; I can't remember who. It's preventing the upload of the raint.png file because of the existence of this .in.raint.png file. I have no idea what that is, Cumulus doesn't create it, so I assume it's something to do with the way the server handles file uploads. I guess that if you delete it then all will be OK.

Hi Steve,
You are not going to believe this but I deleted Web Files & Data & re-installed them from the backup that I made a few hours ago & it works - everything - all the data & the graph. :?

Cheers,
Chris
