Yes, I get a blue one (my background is currently sky blue) occasionally. I have no idea what causes it. Like you, I use remote desktop.

I get the same running under XP on an old laptop, certainly not a problem though. The picture isn't 100% representation

Re: black line on main screen
I can get it to appear by minimising and restoring. I can remove it by dragging the bottom part of the window off the bottom of the screen, and back again. It's some sort of "redraw" bug somewhere, possibly in GDI+ in Windows.

Re: black line on main screen
I've tried this with a number of remote solutions and it only seems to rear its head in Remote Desktop.
Logmein -- Ok
GotoMyPC -- Ok
TeamViewer -- Ok
Remote Desktop creates the issue, but only if the remote PC is not sharing the same resolution as the local PC. So, remote Desktop resizes the screen to suit.
Just an observation -- possibly nothing to be done on this

Re: black line on main screen
I don't see it with remote desktop - tried a few different resolutions, with both 955 and 956. So I still think it may be a problem specific to certain drivers/versions.

Re: black line on main screen
Actually I am getting it now 956 has been running for a while! A small strip of the desktop background isn't painted over when the window repaints. It looks like the wind rose is drawn slightly smaller than the space reserved for it. Ho hum, no big deal though.

Re: black line on main screen
I've repositioned the wind rose a smidgen and I no longer get the glitch.
