Beta 956 Forecast pressure extrames low / high

In the setup for the station, what do the values of Pressure extremes (high / low) effect?

It doesn't appear to be for the graph or the pressure gauge?

The range is used to calculate the forecast. Set it to max/min pressures you experience at your location.

So if I set it to my records for min / max pressures I get will I get the most accurate forecast, or should I go a little outside these marks?

The pressure in cumulus shows a significantly different value to that on my fine offset console too. Is this normal?
