RainFall just jumped up 10"

Post by heraldh »

HI,
I started using Cumulus about 3 months ago with my Zephyr PWS-1000 TD Weather Station.
The old EasyWeather Software was giving me some problems so I went with Cumumlus i am on Ver 1.8.9 build 930.
The other day my "this month" and "this year" rainfall amounts jumped up 10".
Is there a way for me to find and edit the data file.
There must be a bogus reading in the database somewhere.
Thanks

It's a common problem with Fine Offset stations. The daily rain total is held in dayfile.txt (in the data folder), and the monthly and annual totals are calculated from the daily totals. The format is in the help and the wiki. Make sure Cumulus is stopped when you edit the file.
