I notice the new web tag "Hours of Sunshine" in the Today and Yesterday page is showing 0.0 hours.
Is this a spurious reading because of the new install? Or, will it read normally say in a day or two?

It should start recording straight away. You may need to tweak your sunshine threshold and transmission factor for your environment (in the station settings). The theoretical max solar value at any given time of day is plotted in the monthly log file, along with your current solar reading, so you can compare the reading with the theoretical max and decide what values work best for you. What I've been doing is watching the solar reading as the sun comes out and goes behind clouds, to see what sort of figure corresponds to sunshine.
