Mark, does the outdoor temp graph go beyond 40C? It can get pretty warm in some parts of Aus for days on end. I suppose the box over could just read something like "IT'S BLOODY HOT"

Yes, there are three possible gauge images covering the ranges: -50/+10, -20/+40, 0/+60
I think that should cover most folk?

Some of the readings have gone (time it last rained, todays max rain rate are the most notable), but the good news is most of the data is available.

Hi Mark, I 've copied the files and uploaded them (I replaced the realtime text for mine) it seems to work fine exept the gauges stop by rainafall ... is this because I use other units ? I've made an example in my 'play' directory http://www.apeldoorn.tk/wx/gauges.htm

It is crashing on cloudbase - I've not converted the cloudbase yet - it only works in feet, you are using metres, I haven't added the code for metres yet, or drawn a new background image.

Except your windspeed is in m/s and the scale on the gauge is mph & km/h, though the indicated speed should be correct - I need to make a m/s gauge, but I think a knots scale is out of scope at the mo.

I'm just changing the code so it will work with a standard realtime.txt file rather than my custom file. I also need to create a metre version of the cloud base background image.

You can edit the gauges_lang_en.js to customise the text - there is already a Dutch version of the file. Change teh gauges.htm file to point to the appropriate file.

There are some settings to edit in gauges.js - set the URL to your realtime.txt, and choose which temperatures to display on the Dew gauge.

This version is for Fine Offset, I need to add options to remove the status for stations that do not have this - and I do not like the current status display anyway.

This version should cope with wind speed in m/s, kph, mph, kts. Heights in m, ft. Pressure in hPa, in, mb, and temps in C or F.

I'd keep in a separate test area of your website for now!

Please report any problems, I try and fix them but I'm busy at work so it may take a few days to respond.

Easy as....looks good too. Took me about 10 mins to get working and then about an hour tweaking for my site.

I see that with my url the degrees symbol is not displaying, although it is displaying ok while viewing captzero's page here http://users.tpg.com.au/captzer0/gauges.htm

Tried Chrome, IE 32bit and iPhone.

I have come across this before but cant remember how I dealt with it.

Perhaps there is a solution look in the gauges_canvas.js and search for ° character in +" °"+ repace this with in ° I'm not sure if it wil work anyway the synatx might be + ° +

Note this doesnt work ... try to change the <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
