Hi Colin
Welcome to the forum.
You need to be VERY careful when changing the date & time formats used with Cumulus, and if you have old Cumulus data you need to go back an manually adjust the data.
Basically, Cumulus takes your date and time formatting from your PC setup.
I assume you want to change the time format from something like 20:10 to 08:10 pm -- I actually wonder if this would cause Cumulus a problem. most people only want to change the date format.
Steve will come along in a moment and enlighten us.

As the use of the 24-hour clock is standard in meteorology (in my experience, at least), I didn't make any provision for the use of other time formats. In some places, you may see 12-hour format used (e.g. in web pages) where Windows has done the formatting automatically. The only place in Cumulus itself where you can configure the time format is in the clock on the main screen - click on it to toggle.
It's unlikely that this situation will change, in Cumulus 1 at least.

Changing the Windows
time format shouldn't cause Cumulus any problems, it just won't have any effect as far as Cumulus itself is concerned.
Changing the
date format so that Windows no longer recognises its own previous format is the dangerous one.

Actually, there are possibly some places in Cumulus where changing the time format does have an effect, where Cumulus gets Windows to format the time using the system default - on the all time records display, perhaps. But this shouldn't cause any problems.

Actually, my WINDOWS time is in standard format ( AM / PM ) this obviously didnt make a differance in Cumulus. Its really not a big deal and I'll get use to using the 24hr format. Thank you all for the interesting coments on the subject though.
