Toolbox Problem with forecastnumber

I typed in the rule for the forecastnumber and they don't stick. Is there a limit on the number of rules you can have as when I restart the program the rules just get lost even tho they are still in the cumulus folder. This kind of sucks I typed those darn rules in like 6 times. LOL :? :?: The plan was to email the forecast to twitter.

I'm not quite sure what you are saying ....

Do you mean you are modifying samplestrings.ini ?

If so, have you read this: http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/index.php?title=Strings.ini

I didn't mod the Samplestrings.ini or didn't copy or rename it. I just add my rule to the toolbox and exit the program and restart, and the rules that I just type in are not in the rules box to edit.. I just have to start over and add them again..

I think the important word missing from the first post was
mmorris1 wrote:toolbox
i.e. the name of the software for which help was being sought.

I don't actually use Toolbox myself, but I've just had quick try putting some rules in, and when I restart Toolbox, they don't get reloaded, even though the file is being created. But I/We may be doing something wrong...

Well this was my first try at toolbox thought I'd found a use for it but it just isn't working and it would seem it did not work for you either...

I edited the Subject and put in toolbox so till it gets fixed I'll just go back to my simple life..

I worked out what I was doing wrong, I hadn't configured Cumulus to process the cumuluswebtags file, nor told Toolbox where to look for it - stupidly, I didn't bother doing that for my quick test as I wasn't going to use it for real :bash:

Toolbox is clearly intelligent and knows if you have performed that step. Once I did that, all of my rules appeared again.

But I guess that doesn't help you, as you are intending to use it for real, so you've presumably followed the instructions. David will no doubt be around before long and will be able to advise.

Hi there

You have probably not completed the configuration of 'Toolbox', so when you restart the program it will not load the rules as it can not act on them.

Click on File, then Setup. Use the Browse button to find the Cumulus.ini file and then select the webtags file Cumulus is processing from the drop down box on the next line.

Make sure you click the Save button once you have set this

Well guess I gave up can't save any changes keep getting a .net error, uninstalled and reinstalled maybe it just doesn't like being on the E: drive. Doesn't find the php file even if I type it in then can't save. So now I get the .net error when I save when I shut down or start up Toolbox. Must be close to 100 program on this computer and this is the only one that is not working. Not a big deal.

You should not be typing in the PHP filename, only selecting it from the list, as supplied via the cumulus.ini file so something is wrong at the very first setup stage :-(

What's the .net error message?

for what it is worth here is the .net error message

ee the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
