Good Morning from Va Beach,
I had a computer glitch and now cannot get Cumulus to sign on. Tried to start with new download v1.9.0 no luck. I am including bug report, perhaps someone can give me advice on how to reinstall.
Thanks, Renie

Re: Cannot connect to Cumulus
It's having trouble parsing the dates in your alltime.ini file - has your system date format changed, perhaps?
exception message : Could not convert variant of type (String) into type (Date).
main thread ($b6c):
00461b4f +06f cumulus.exe Variants VarCastError
00461f8e +01a cumulus.exe Variants VarResultCheck
00464bfe +0a6 cumulus.exe Variants VarToDateAsString
00464f47 +1a7 cumulus.exe Variants @VarToDate
00468a53 +003 cumulus.exe Variants VarToDateTime
00737fe3 +0bb cumulus.exe MainUnit 2540 +8 ReadAlltimeIniFile
If you zip up your diags folder and attach it, together with your alltime.ini file, I'll have a look. But note that I am leaving shortly and won't be back for a week, so may not get chance to look at this until then.

Re: Cannot connect to Cumulus
I don't know what to do with that diags.exe file. It doesn't run and Winzip doesn't recognise it.
But the date formats in your alltime.ini file are like this:
hightemptime=8/30/2010 4:32:00 PM ARN
I don't know what that 'ARN' is doing there, it looks like you have set an invalid time/date format on your PC. You need to correct that and then edit the file to correct that too. You may have the same problem in other Cumulus files.

Re: Cannot connect to Cumulus
Hi Steve,
I restored the date stamp to the setting that I had originally and am attaching the diags folder and alltime.ini file post date stamp restore.
Can you suggest a fix up to get me back on line with Cumulus or does it make sense to delete the program and start over with another install.
Thanks very much for your consideration.

You still have an invalid system time format:

Re: Cannot connect to Cumulus
Hi Steve,
Thanks for the look see. I'm not quite sure that I understand how to remedy the code, files, etc.
I am wondering if it is just as easy to delete the Cumulus program and reinstall? Is it possible to retrieve my former settings from the configuration and internet settings? If so please tell me how I can access them.
Thank you.

Re: Cannot connect to Cumulus
It's not a Cumulus setting, it's a Windows setting. You need to go into the regional settings in the control panel and correct your time format. Once you've done that, you may need to edit the Cumulus files to remove that 'ARN' if it appears in any files - like the alltime.ini file.

Re: Cannot connect to Cumulus
Steve,
I got it.
Your solution seemed to have turned the trick. I had had the time setting personalized with my name on the Windows side; corrected it to the default and then went into the alltime.ini file and changed it to match Windows.
Thanks for helping me get out of the ozone and back into the stratoshere.
