Cumulus Support

My first impression of Cumulus is that it is designed for a setup that has a continuous connection between the console and the computer. Will it work if I only occasionally make the connection?

On stations which have loggers (like yours) Cumulus uses the logger when it starts up to "catch up" from the point where it was last stopped. So the short answer to your question is "yes".

My weather station is normally only live on weekday evenings but if you check my website all the missing data is added as soon as the latest data file is uploaded obviously there appears to be a hole in the data until i go on line but to date i have never had any problems with data being lost or appearing incorrect even after a couple of days without uploading

I don't seem to be able to keep the data continuous if the console is not connected to the PC. Correct?

If you have a connection to a pc then you have a logger if it is a derivative of the fine offset so it should work.

If you are using W7 make sure you read the message at the top of the forum

Yes Cumulus p and running will recover any data available once connected to the console.

If Cumulus isn't catching up each time you start it, you have some sort of problem. Start a new thread and attach your zipped diags folder and I'll have a look.

I should perhaps point out that there will be gaps in Weather Underground and PWS Weather data for any periods where Cumulus isn't running, until I work out the best way to address that.
