Hello Steve and Forum,

I was in the middle of writing some php code for the homepage when I had a thought about a possible useful feature for the twitter function within Cumulus.

I expect this has already been requested but, It would be handy if it would be possible for Cumulus to 'Tweet' every 6hrs but at '12am' and every following 6hrs. In short, specifying a scheduled time the Twitter posting starts from.
One additional feature would be the ability to post an additional tweet with different information to the 6hr tweets.

To put into English - Every 6hrs from 12am, A tweet every 6hrs with the current weather information and at 11:59pm a Daily Summary Tweet (made using #tags).

This is probably something that wouldn't interest most users but I would appreciate any feedback on it :)

I also look forward to seeing the new graphics in Cumulus V1.9.0.

I also need to report that, in the latest version V1.9.0 (Latest Build), When I have the Cumulus Main Display open and open any of the 'Settings' menu options, the buttons lock up or don't respond. Probably my Server and should really be posted in a separate thread.

Thanks again and great work Steve :)

It's not just Twitter - the Twitter scheduling is the same as all the other scheduling in Cumulus; it starts all of the timers at start up, each with the appropriate interval, and every time they expire, it does whatever needs doing, so you end up with web updates etc at random minutes past the hour. The whole scheduling system needs an overhaul, with the ability to make things happen at times relative to the clock...

I don't think this is specific to 1.9.0; I seem to remember some time ago a couple of people had a similar problem. I don't think we ever got to the bottom of it, because I can't reproduce it, and clearly very few people have the problem so it's hard to find something common to their systems that might be the cause.

I see. Could this timing be done with integration with the Cumulus Toolbox by Daj?
