Folks
I am a complete novice at this so I thought I would ask if anyone knew how I can share my weather data for others to see. I have a model Wh1061 using EasyWeather software on a Windows 7 PC.
Any advice would be great.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Sharing weather data
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Can you be more specific about wanting to share your weather data? Do you mean over the internet on a website?
If so, Cumulus has a built in facility to upload the data and webpages to a website. There is loads of information on this forum about how to achieve this. Start by looking in the Forum WIKI.

Re: Sharing weather data
Welcome. It can be a little daunting knowing where to start when all this is new to you. Assuming you want to use the supplied Cumulus web pages to make your weather station available on the Internet you need to do the following:-
1) Buy a domain name. This should be a meaningful name for your website. As I live in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire mine is called http://www.cheadlehulmeweather.co.uk. There are many sites you can buy a domain name from. I chose 123-reg. It cost about £10 for 2 years.
2) Register that domain name with a web hosting company. You could choose a commercial one but one of our Cumulus members rents his server space for a very reasonable price. Ask daj for information.
3) Download and install a software package that allows you to upload your Cumulus weather files to your web server. FileZilla is free and excellent.
Those are the 3 simple steps to making your wether data available on the internet. You can just go with the excellent default Cumulus web pages to start with and if you decide to learn HTML you can customise them or make your own.
Hope that helps.
