hi Steve only thing mite be cumulus tool box
it ftp dayfile.txt at 12 min after midnight an backup at 5 after midnight
the virus scan is blocked from that folder

We considered that last time, but the times don't correspond. Unless somehow the toolbox is leaving the file open.

Steve,
only thing i know is the day this started i had no internet so maybe it hug toolbox
if datalogger was missing data what happens if a user add data to aug10log.txt?

Yes, that's a possibility
if datalogger was missing data what happens if a user add data to aug10log.txt?
You can add data to aug10log.txt, but it won't cause the dayfile.txt entry to be created.
