WS 208 and EasyWeather

Post by wd40 »

"Although Cumulus can run in conjunction with EasyWeather, the best approach is to NOT load EasyWeather at all and select the Fine Offset option. "

I read the aforementioned statement in the Installation Guide. Can the WS2080 station be entirely setup from first start with Cumulus or do I need to use EasyWeather to initialy setup the station then shut it down and use Cumulus from that point on?

Thanks.

The only thing you might want to use Easyweather for is to change the logger interval in the station, Cumulus can't do this. I think it's 30 minutes by default, which I think is too long. I think a 5 or 10 minute interval is better, and even with a 5 minute interval, the logger has enough capacity for two weeks worth of data, if you ever needed to leave it that long without downloading the data.

Thanks a ton for the quick reply. I hope to have the station installed and setup before dark.
