Hi,
does someone knows how often the fine offset WH1080 is making it's measurements ?
I do know that it is every 48 seconds transmitting the data to the basic station.
But how often the sensors will measure into this 48 seconds ? 1 time, 2 times, 3......
The next i want to ask is how the value for windspeed and for gust would be determined ?
Perhaps it's measured several times into the 48 seconds and then calculate the average ?
And the gust is then perhaps the peak value of this measurements ?
Does someone knows something about that ?
Bernd

I have assumed this too. Because of the 48-second interval, I wonder if the measuring interval is perhaps 6 or 8 seconds. I think that the gust must be the peak of those measurements, yes.Bernd wrote:The next i want to ask is how the value for windspeed and for gust would be determined ?

But I don't think anyone really knows. No-one who will tell us, anyway

I still hope there is someone out there who can answer this questions.
If not, the batterys into my station must changed and after taken it from the pole
i will put the sensor in front of a fan and also my standalone anemometer which i do use
for verfification.
I'm very interested to see how the values for speed and gust would be matching into permanent
"not gusty" airflow. If there then is still a higher value for gust then for speed, the gust
must be not generated by the peak.
