AM/PM instead of 24 hour?

Post by krmidas »

I thought I read recently that it was not practical to implement 12 hour time (8:35 PM instead of 20:35) in the tags.

However on the template page that the software creates, the time at the bottom of the page does indeed seem to be in the 12 hour format. See the frame grab below.

Can this be implemented into the tags?

Some of the tags do already use am/pm format, where they are formatted on demand for the web tags, so they pick up the system settings (see also the all-time records). But many of the timestamps are simply copied from the main Cumulus display as text, and this is where the problem arises, as changing Cumulus to allow am/pm on its display would be a large task. A simpler (i.e. less work) approach might be to parse the text and format it on demand as with the ones that are currently done that way, so I could consider doing this at some point.
