didn't find an answer to this question so sorry if i am repeating someone else's question.

as the rain year in my country is counted from august 1st to july 31st the year after i want to set this year's rain to zero. can you instruct me how to do that?

There's no separate annual rain total that you can set to zero. The annual rain is calculated from all of the daily totals from Jan 1st to Dec 31st, and I'm afraid there is no allowance for a year with any other start and end dates. It's possible that Cumulus 2 will allow other 'rain years' to be specified.
