Updating

Post by robynfali »

Hi there

The page isn't updating on my website from Cumulus, here

The realtime.txt is updating, as can be seen here

And it's also updating PWS & Wundergroud perfectly (including rapidfire on Wunderground)

I am, when I can afford it, do a dedicated site, both for my photography, and for this weather software, but in the meantime can anyone figure out if this is a serverside problem

The first thing to look at is the ftp log. Turn it on from the the configuration menu, then wait until an update should have occurred and attach the ftplog.txt file here.

That's the realtime ftp log, which shows that realtime ftp is working OK, as you said.

But it was the ftplog.txt file that I asked for...

I can't see anything obvious in the ftp log. I noticed that you were updating every minute earlier, which is probably too often for a station which only updates every 50 seconds or so. And the upload was taking over a minute anyway, so one hadn't finished when it was time to do the next. Now that you have changed to 10 minutes things may go better - but I keep getting timeouts when trying to view your web site, so it looks like there is some sort of connectivity issue there.

It seems to have got stuck again at 18:10. Even if it has trouble contacting the server, it should just time out and try again next time. You would think it would have managed one upload in the last two hours. If you want to upload another ftp log I'll have a look.

There's nothing in there since 12:05, did you turn ftp logging back on? It turns off if you restart Cumulus.
