ftp and realtime.txt

I have an issue with my Davis Vue and ftp issues. The uploads to my web site and weather underground work for a while. Then at some point I get some brief connection errors and both my web site and WU get "stuck" at 58.6F. WU and my site indicate they are being updated. I had ftp logging on my web account turned on and no issues appear. The only thing I see is that on the server realtime.txt has a modified date of 2010-07-27 20:40:02 and the realtime.txt line ahs the date time stamp of 27-07-10 20:40:08.
When I saw this yesterday I clicked on the red "light" viewed the ftp error codes and everything started updating properly. So sometime in the night things went off again.
I don't have active mode turned on.

I can't follow everything you're saying; I don't understand the bit about the timestamps for a start. And your site says it's being updated but the data doesn't change? And you're saying that clicking on the red error LED started the ftp off again? I find that very hard to believe; all it does it open the window to display the messages.
The best course of action is probably to turn on the ftp logging while it's working, and then upload the realtimeftplog.txt file after it's stopped working.
The fact that WU updates also stop is interesting. WU doesn't use ftp, so that suggests some sort of problem with your internet connection. Unless I am completely misunderstanding what you're saying.

OK maybe others can learn from my mistake. I had BSOD issues when I "thought" the best thing was to upgrade the usb/serial driver to the newer version on the Silicon Lab site. So I uninstalled Weatherlink and the updated driver. reinstalled Weatherlink with the default driver.
What I failed to do was make sure the Vue was communicating with Cumulus properly. My internet was working fine. The values being sent to WU and my web site were what Cumulus had by default. 58.6F and everything else zero. so one I shutdown Cumulus and restarted it then it worked ok. The old problem between the keyboard and chair.
