Re: Can't set correct rain history figure
I can't see where that 'rain' came from. It appears that the rain counter suddenly jumped up by over 300 mm, but then went back down again. I've seen this before, I think it must be a transmission error, as the log files don't show it, so presumably it returned to normal again on the next transmission. I think you'll just have to correct your all-time records (you can use the alltimelog.txt file) and see if it happens again.
This is a bit strange, though: When you closed Cumulus today at 14:49, the last start of day rain total it wrote to today.ini was 21,3.
2010-07-22 14:49:16.777 : Writing todayfile, LastUpdateTime = 2010-07-22 14:24:42 raindaystart = 21,2999992370605
When you started it again shortly afterwards, it read the value back in again as 32,1. I have no idea how that could happen, the timestamp is identical.
2010-07-22 14:50:45.062 : Read today file: Date = 2010-07-22, LastUpdateTime = 2010-07-22 14:24:42
2010-07-22 14:50:45.064 : Todayfileraindaystart = 32,0999984741211
I'm wondering why you closed it down and started it up again so quickly? It had been processing the data downloaded since the previous night - I'm wondering if it had completely finished.

Re: Can't set correct rain history figure
I shifted the USB port to a more convenient one, that's why I stopped and started.
I'll try to clear and reset the outside transmitter, remove the batteries and keep them removed over night and tomorrow start up again with memory in the received cleared also. Then we will see what happens.
