Cumulus Support

I have done all of the necessary steps ( I think ) to publish the Weather Live to my site but I seem to be missing something.... I have read and followed the guide but still must be missing something....My web site is through yahoo web hosting, but I do not use HTML....I really don't have the time , so I do my site in Yahoo Sitebuilder.....I think that is where I am missing something.....any help would be appreciated, as I am a newbie to the world of weather stations.....

I don't know what "Weather Live" is. If you're trying to set up the standard Cumulus web site - like this one: http://sanday.org.uk/weather/ - you need to use ftp. For that, you will need an ftp server name, a username and a password. Have Yahoo given you that information?

Sorry Steve, I mean Cumulus realtime Yes I have this information in......the top is the info on my web server and the bottom is how I have the Cumulus internet configured....

Ah, right, you've got much further than I thought! Your setup looks OK. The problem is that the automatic ftp from Cumulus doesn't seem to be working. Could you turn on ftp logging and attach the ftplog.txt file here, please?

It looks like you have the directory incorrectly configured, the server says the path doesn't exist:

09:25:01:915 >|550 /tylerstacey2002/staceyracing.com/WeatherLive: No such file or directory.|

So the 'change directory' fails, and the uploads get dumped in the /tylerstacey2002 directory:

09:25:04:205 >|150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /tylerstacey2002/index.htmtmp .|

Maybe you need something on the front of what you have already?

I changed the internet directory as shown and attached a most recent datalog...

It's giving the same error.

You need to find the path from the root /tylerstacey2002 directory to your WeatherLive directory. From the image you uploaded earlier, staceyracing.com/WeatherLive is correct, but you probably need something else on the front of that to get there from the tylerstacey2002 directory. When you go up a level (or two) from that first image you uploaded, what is the directory structure?

You're not trying to install third party scripts or software, you're just uploading html files and images by ftp, and it's clearly working, the files just aren't going into the correct place. You need to work out the correct path. If you can't work it out, and you're prepared to send me your login details by private message, I'll log in and tell you what the path is.

The files are there ok, but CumulusRealtime.html and maybe CumulusRealtime.xml are missing

Steve, I gave upo on Yahoo....my host allows me to create my own web page and host for free.......IT helped me get things pointed in the right direction......here is the site at http://home.windstream.net/gangstadt/index.htm

It looks like you haven't created the dbimages folder and uploaded its contents? A few other files seem to be missing, the style sheet (weatherstyle.css) and the background image, so I think that all you have done is created the images folder, and not done a complete set-up as you did with your previous hosting?

Looks good. When you've recovered from all that and you're feeling brave, you could try installing the Silverlight realtime display
