Basically, there are two things you need to get right:
- Get the realtime.txt uploading
- Then get the files Cumulus Realtime in the right place
I've just checked and you have realtime.txt uploading
http://home.windstream.net/gangstadt/realtime.txt
This is used by the two wind gauges at the bottom of the Gauges.htm page.
Once you have all the Cumulus Realtime files in place (as per the instructions, you can test if everything is working by using this link:
http://home.windstream.net/gangstadt/Cu ... ltime.html
If Silverlight is not installed on your computer, the first time you use Realtime, you will be given th option to upload and then install it.
Just keep us informed and someone will give you the correct advice.

And the only thing you need to do with the files before you upload them is to edit CumulusRealtime.xml so that these two lines:
Code: Select all
<realtimeURL>http://www.sanday.org.uk/weather/realtime.txt</realtimeURL>
<sitename>Sanday weather</sitename>
are appropriate for your site instead of my site - otherwise, the gauges will work, but they'll be displaying
my data!

Well I realize that it is only a start, but here is the NOW page
http://home.windstream.net/gangstadt/index.htm
I know that I have to make my lower links the same on all of the pages, so that is my next project...
Thanks for looking and THANKS to all that have helped me along so far...

On the NOW page where does the line
Forecast: Exceptional Weather, Stormy, much precipitation
generate from?
It NEVER changes and I can't find on my station where it is generating from...
Thanks

George,
This comes from Cumulus and should match the forcaste Cumulus generates at the time your data is uploaded. Have you got Cumulus pressure trend names selected in the Station Settings? I think this ensures the forecaste terms match the pressure trends of your station.
The Realtime stuff is working fine I notice.
To get all your pages with the same menu items, all you need to do is copy the code for the menu you have constructed in indexT.htm and paste it over the menu code in all the other ___T.htm files. If this makes you nervous, copy all the ___T.htm files and put them in another folder elsewhere as a backup before you start to fiddle. You may be already following this practice anyway.

georgekss wrote:Exceptional Weather
This is an indication that the 'forecast rule' generator has gone 'off the scale' and is normally cause by your pressure being outside the bounds of the limits set in the station settings. Do you perhaps have your limits specified in hPa/mb but have ticked 'inches', or vice versa?

Where is it that you would change the colors ( shading ) on the pages and what exactly are the color options?
Thanks

George,
It's all in the weatherstyle.css
Change this one file and the formatting of all pages that reference it will be changed.
I keep a copy of this file in its updated state on my computer and after making changes, upload it to the webserver.
