Hi just noticed that If say I switch off my logging pc at night and switch it back on again in the morning my graphs show nothing until the moment I plug my w-8681 back into the pc.
When I connect the touch screen to the pc it says downloading data but it does not seem that it has filled in the missing data between the downtime.
Any ideas pls

You seem to have turned off the use of the data logger:
15/07/2010 14:47:30.344 : UseDataLogger not set, switch to normal running
Unless you turn it back on (tick "Use data logger" in the station settings), Cumulus won't download data from the logger when it starts up, so you will get gaps in your data for the periods when Cumulus isn't running.

I found (the hard way) that this happens if you unplug the Fine Offset console before exiting Cumulus. I figure Cumulus thinks you have shut down the system, so you're not interested in the data.
Exit Cumulus first, then unplug the console.
Similarly, when you start up, plug the console in first, then start Cumulus.
BTW, the data are still there and you can talk Cumulus into retrieving them by editing the Cumulus mmmyylog.txt file and removing the data after the gap, then restart Cumulus.

There's not really any intelligence in operation there, if the station isn't there any more, so there's no new data coming in, Cumulus just keeps re-logging the last good data that it read, so yes, that's one way of causing a flat-line. But in this case, the user had explicitly told Cumulus not to use the data logger at start up.

Yes, Cumulus only looks for the station at start up. Maybe one day I'll try to get it to cope with stations being unplugged and replugged, PCs hibernating, etc
