Weather History
I've just got around to adding "Weather History" to my Website.
It is based on a multi-sheet Excel Workbook saved as a Web Page.
Comments would be appreciated!
Just click on my Station tag below and navigate to "Westher History".

Re: Weather History
Looks nice, with the various colours. One slight problem - the header text overlaps. Not using Microsoft Extensions or other non-W3C compliant stuff, are you?

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Re: Weather History
The webpages were created in Office 2007 using 'Save As .... Webpage' and seem properly fromated in IE7 and Opera 10. Anyone else has any problems?Gina wrote:Looks nice, with the various colours. Re: Weather History
I must download Firefox to see what I get. In your screen grab it looks like the fonts are oo large...

Re: Weather History
I think it's a Linux thing rather than a Firefox thing. It looks fine in Firefox in Windows.

Re: Weather History
Interesting. Thanks from me too, Steve
I wonder if it's one of my settings - I'll check.
Anyway, I think you've done a great job, Geoff - well done

Re: Weather History
Just checked with Firefox (v3.6.3) on Windows XP Pro SP3 (on another machine) and while its generally fine, the word Pressure in the minor column headers still overlaps the next column half to one character. I can't find a screenshot app on that machine so can't attach a screenshot (I can't remember how to do this in Win XP). I can't explain why my display is different from Steve's
EDIT... I've checked all my settings in Linux Firefox and can't find anything that changes the overlapping text aspect. The Windows Firefox is still at all the defaults.

Re: Weather History
Alt+PrtScn will capture the screen and place it in the Clipboard. Paste it into any graphics program (Paint will do). Crop it and save. Simple really.Gina wrote:... (I can't remember how to do this in Win XP) ...

Re: Weather History
Thank you
I thought there was an easy way to do it but I use Windows so little these days that I'd forgotten
