Hi
I've recently purchased the WS1081 and am utterly impressed with it's operation with Cumulus and the web pages Steve has written. I'm curious about one thing though. Although the data logged by the station apparently does not include a "forecast" there is a "tendency" indicator on the actual base station. Obviously it's using the weather data collected to "estimate" this forecast.
Does anyone know what that calculation would be, so that I could also incorporate that into the associated web pages?
Thanks.

Re: Forecast with WS1081
I beliieve you are referring to the pressure tendency arrows on the 1081 display?
If so, this can be inserted into an html webpage using the "tags"
<#presstrend> <#presstrendval> <#pressunit>/hr
This gives the resulting text, eg...
"Falling quickly -1.5 mb/hr"
Don't think that the actual "arrow icons" can be incorporated.
Hope it helps

And if what you're referring to really is a 'weather forecast' rather than a pressure tendency, you can make Cumulus generate one with the settings on the bottom right hand corner of the station settings screen.

Re: Forecast with WS1081
Hi Steve
It is actually the forecast I'm after rather than pressure tendency (which is already listed).
You mentioned "you can make Cumulus generate one with the settings on the bottom right hand corner of the station settings screen". I'm using version 1.8.3 Build 498 of Cumulus and I've checked the station settings under Configuration/Station, but cannot see anything there that says about generating a forecast?
Would very much like to know more in terms of if this is an option?
Thanks once again.

Re: Forecast with WS1081
Sorry, the box in the bottom right hand corner is in 1.8.4, where I added some settings to tweak the forecast. But the setting to turn it on is definitely there in Station Config in 1.8.3, in the main 'Settings' box on the left hand side.

Re: Forecast with WS1081
It turns out that I needed your very latest build of 1.8.3, which I downloaded last night. Build 539 actually has the forecast option on the left hand side.
Have enabled it now and works a treat!
Thanks again.

Ah yes, sorry - I hadn't noticed the build number you quoted wasn't the final 1.8.3.
