Post by TrOjAn »

My site

http://uktrash.org/weather/gauges.htm

at the bottom theres a small error?? the real time wind data dials dont move and the date and time are not displayed...

Before I get flamed I have read all the documentation, searched the forums but am unable to locate what it may be, I therefore suspect operator error ;) can someone help me out??

Looks fine from here. A problem with your browser? Flash plugin installed?

OK so bearing in mind that Im new to the weather does this look like normal behaviour for the UK?

High Pressure (SL) 1016.30 in at 17:10
Low Pressure (SL) 30.01 in at 17:17

Seems to have dropped dramatically to me but what do you think?

Also just noticed I have no graph for minimum / maximum / average Temp

You've changed your pressure units from mb to 'in Hg', this is why your high and low don't match. You can't change units in Cumulus once you've chosen them, your stored data will be inconsistent. Most people in the UK use mb anyway.

You won't get any daily high/low/average temperatures plotted until you actually have some daily temperatures recorded.

Steve, Im sorry if these are really silly mistakes.. I do read a lot to try to avoid posting but sometimes you just cannot beat experience

Of course your right, I did change so I have gone back to mb for the pressure, as for the temp, its been running since yesterday so assumed there would be 2 days worth of temp? not enough maybe, Ill leave it a week and see what happens..

Thanks yet AGAIN

It's OK, it was a poor design decision a long time ago to store the data in the chosen units, so making it impossible to change later. It's made clear in the help file, but I'll add a warning to the actual station settings screen - you're not the first to have fallen over this.

You should have some data in dayfile.txt then, and you should indeed be seeing something plotted. Can you send me your dayfile.txt and I'll see if I can see what the problem is?

You have one entry in there, for yesterday, which looks OK, so I think it'll just take another day or two before the graph starts to take shape.

That pressure in inches thing is going to cause your records to look funny, though, you could really do with editing Nov08log.txt and today.ini (with Cumulus stopped) to change the 30.01 etc to their equivalent in mb. And use Edit | All time records to fix your all-time low pressure too. Sorry it's a pain :(
