Cumulus Support

Hi to all members

i'm new in the forum and i would like to get as much infomation as possible to be able to translate my cumulus in french ... that would be nice ...
i've already get the web part in french and i've make some change in string.ini to get some french part ... i was wondering if there is some more value that can be added to the string.ini to translate it completly ...
i've see in a other post some who did it ... and someone was telling it was illégal ... and done by an HEX editor ...
i would like to participate in an interface translate in french ...

I will be adding more items to strings.ini as time allows, but I don't think it will ever be possible to do a full translation of the Cumulus 1 user interface. Hopefully, Cumulus 2 will be properly multi-language.

I cannot permit hacking of the Cumulus executable. For one thing, this is hardly fair when I am giving Cumulus away. For another, I simply cannot support a version of Cumulus which has been modified in any way.

It is possible that one day I will make Cumulus 1 open source, and stop supporting it, then people can do whatever they like with it.

if i could only get all the string option possible to edit ... i would arrange my self ...
i understand your point about that the soft is not open source ... and true it free of charge ... so i'm alright with that

Yes, but writing the code to add everything to strings.ini is a lot of work!

well i figure it a lot of work ... i though was easy by using string from script
anyway i've use to translate what on the web it already nice ...but make the program windows in french would a be great ++

can you told me about cumulus realtime it does'nt work with version 1.8.9

If french help needed ... just ask it will be a pleasure to do as much as I can

about realtime it was my redirect to my realtime.txt was invalid ...

Have look at lehamel.eu . It runs completely from realtime.txt plus an extra homemade realtime file. The translation is done using javascript. If you like it (perhaps you could help me with perfecting the french) I'd be happy to help using he method I've used.
