I don't really understand what they mean by "issues resolving PHP files" but it's hard to see how that could be related to trying to ftp a text file.

"RNFR" is the 'rename from' command. They clearly have some issues with their ftp server.

hello guys another all the help you can give me situation...

i use
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30" > which is auto refresh the page.

in indexT and index . html

and the first time it works fine

after it reloads the command dosent work anymore. also the command is not in the index.html file anymore but still is in the indexT so what i want to know is why does it keep changing back without the above command?

Which file are you editing? You need to edit indexT.htm in the web folder on your PC.

You're using Windows 7 - where have you installed Cumulus?

in C/PROGRAMFILESX86/CUMULUS

I edit both the indexT and index files and the index changes when cumulus does a web update but indexT still has the code but does not auto refresh the page.

also page did not update for much of this afternoon if you look at the home page last update was 3ish.

I have been following this thread for some time. I offer the following suggestions relating to the above:

Cumulus should be put in X:\Cumulus where X: is a drive, usually C: but it could be another drive (I have mine in E:\Cumulus). It is stated in the installation instructions, in the wiki and in numerous posts that Cumulus should not be placed in C:\Program Files.

Secondly, the only HTM files that need to be edited are the ones ending with T (indexT.htm, todayT.htm, etc). I assume that the Cumulus WebEngine (might be wrong termonology) uses these files and the <#webtags> in them to generate the standard HTM files (index.htm, trends.htm, etc) populating them with current data and information before they are uploaded to a website location. There is no point changing the index.htm, today.htm, etc files as they are overwitten each time prior to being downloaded by new files bases on the indexT.htm and other T files.

Also, I tried your <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30" > and inserted it in the <head> of indexT.htm and it uploaded and works fine. I set the refresh at "200" rather than "30" as 30 second refreshes were rather annoying. Try it out: http://members.aussiebroadband.com.au/muster/index.htm

I think the key here, and as already pointed out above by Bod, is that you have installed Cumulus in the c:\program files equivalent folder and you are using Windows 7. This does NOT work in most cases. You will find there are other copies of indexT and index elsewhere on your system that Windows 7 is maintaining as you do not have enough permission to modify them in the c:\program files folder.

You need to move Cumulus to another folder. Once you comply with the recommendations on the help file we can see if there are other problems but doing this move is important.

Formatting is done through "weatherstyle.css". CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) is an efficient way of managing the formatting of multiple pages. Edit the CSS and it changes the formatting of all pages that are linked to the CSS.

You can add it to the "files" tab in the internet settings - read the help to see how to use it. You may get problems with the normal ftp and the realtime ftp clashing, though.

is this how i do it
under local filenames ------- realtime.txt --------
under remote file names -------C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\Documents\MY stuff\Cumulus\Cumulus\realtime.txt -------

very confusing but i agreed to myself that i have done alot not even knowing how to do html and all that.
