Australian Weather Network
I found this site in oz where membership is open to those with Personal Weather Stations in Australia.
Member sites can be viewed on their home page.
http://www.auweather.net/
Their server is a little slow so be patient.
I thought our oz members might be interested.

Hi Gerard,
I've been using it for a few weeks now, but it's never been so slow as the last couple of days.
cheers.

Re: Australian Weather Network
I saw you on the map Graeme, Hope it speeds up soon.
BTW you beat me to gktnet.com
, I had to settle for gkt.net.au. I haven't hosted it yet something I need to do.
Phil, I registered on Saturday and as yet haven't had an email response from them, maybe due to the Queens Birthday Weekend.
LOL we need more Crow Eaters on the map

Applied to be added, so that makes another Crow Eater.

Re: Australian Weather Network
Hi Gerard,
Yes, it's funny that several years ago, when I registered gktnet.com, all the others with my inits had been grabbed, except .org and .com.
At that time an ABN was needed to reg. a commercial .au domain name, and I didn't have one, so I couldn't have a .au name.
As it turned out, international domains cost less.
cheers,

Hills, took 5 days, but we're finally on the map and in the list of stations and weather data.hills wrote:Thanks Gerard, I've just applied.
SA is now on the map and active. Looks like some of the bogus entries have been removed from the map. I noticed that some of the links to stations were in fact to sites that had nothing to do with weather.

Re: Australian Weather Network
No emails received from Australian Weather Network her either.
Hills, that image you posted of the weather map is weird. I certainly have a data for my weather site on my map.

Re: Australian Weather Network
Bob, saw the same offline indicator as Phil did.
How often is your realtime.txt being ftp'd?
I don't know the frequently Australian Weather Network actually looks for the realtime.txt, maybe that has something to to with it.
My realtime.txt is currently being sent every 15 seconds.
Just had a look and your station page is stuck on "08:56 on 20 June 2010" and realtime.txt is time stamped "20/06/10 09:00:27". Something's not updating or you're carrying out some maintenance. It is currently 09:39 your local time.
