Hi,
Juat looked at my website and noticed the realtime files (one a standard one and the other an 'extra' one) stopped uploading for about 20 mins. Switched on debugging and FTP logging. Restarting Cumulus resolved the problem.
Attached are the diags and ftplog.

Re: Cumulus stopped FTP'ing realtime files
The realtime ftp is logged in realtimeftplog.txt. It's unlikely to have anything useful when turned on the after the problem occurred, but you could upload it and I'll have a look. The diags file you've uploaded appears to be from after you restarted Cumulus.Synewave wrote:Attached are the diags and ftplog.

Oops, sorry Steve.
Here they are, but I guess they have nothing useful in them.

Re: Cumulus stopped FTP'ing realtime files
There are quite a few of these:
07:20:33:185 >|553 Rename/move failure: File exists|
But your ftp server doesn't send enough information to show exactly what it's complaining about. I'm guessing that you're using the 'rename' option, but your server doesn't support renaming to a file which already exists. Any idea if this is relevant? It would seem to fit the symptoms of a file not being updated on the server, and Cumulus does seem to be attempting to do the realtime ftp uploads.

Re: Cumulus stopped FTP'ing realtime files
Hi Steve,
No, I'm not using the 'rename' option. I have tried it in the past and have found it doesn't work so am guessing my server doesn't support it. Although rename does actually work using my FTP client (Core FTP Lite), i.e. I can renmae a file by right clicking on it.
So it's strange that the log is showing rename/move failure?

Re: Cumulus stopped FTP'ing realtime files
Perhaps the error is a result of whatever the server does internally when you upload a file. Perhaps something to do with temporary files, which is why restarting Cumulus fixed it; this would cause the ftp connection to be disconnected which perhaps deletes any temporary files. I'm afraid I don't know anything about the Matrix ftp server.

Re: Cumulus stopped FTP'ing realtime files
Thanks Steve,
Just one other little observation, during the 20 mins I noticed the realtime files were failing to upload, the webcam image was actually uploading OK every 60 secs. I use Fwink to upload the webcam image.

Re: Cumulus stopped FTP'ing realtime files
Yes, the server was clearly up and responding, but it was responding with an error when Cumulus tried to upload the file.
