Goes without say tha tI'm a fan of Cumulus but there is one thing I would ask Steve to bear in mind as Cumulus develops .... and I suspect other may well be in a similar position.
I have Cumulus running on a relatively elderly computer, so in consequence a low spec machine, that stays on throughout the daylight hours and 24/7 if we are away. I suspect others who run the software do the same thing. The current version runs fine, but I hope any future developments remain lean & mean!

Cumulus 1 will always be available for those who don't want to move to Cumulus 2 when it's finally available, and I will continue to support it and fix bugs.

I agree Steve, but I tend to suffer from Version Envy!steve wrote:Cumulus 1 will always be available for those who don't want to move to Cumulus 2 when it's finally available, and I will continue to support it and fix bugs.

You could say that about any product -- Office 2010 will not run as well (or at all) on a PC than easily runs Office 97. Similarly Windows XP runs great on your PC. Windows 7 may just die!geoffw wrote:I agree Steve, but I tend to suffer from Version Envy!
So realistically new version of products demand a newer machines - it's the way of the world, sadly
