Hi all,

I am new to the forum to please be gentle!

how do i get the software to produce the .txt file that UIVIEW requires?

on a seperate note - I have tried the built in APRS feature, which works, but seems to have a different LONG/LAT to what i have setup in the station settings, its really odd, does anyone know why this would happen?

thanks in advance
Matt

Cumulus automatically produces the wxnow.txt file, in the folder where you installed it.

I'm pretty confident that Cumulus sends the correct co-ordinates to APRS. What have you entered in Cumulus, and what is it sending to APRS?

Thanks Steve,

in station settings i have 51.5.29n / 1.10.40e which is correct.
when the aprs settings are enabled the object is in this location
51.5.48n / 1.10.66e

I think you're confusing degrees/minutes/seconds with degrees and decimal minutes, which is the format APRS uses.

51 deg 5 min 29 sec = 51 deg 5.48 min
1 deg 10 min 40 sec = 1 deg 10.66 min
