Hi all,
I am new to the forum to please be gentle!
how do i get the software to produce the .txt file that UIVIEW requires?
on a seperate note - I have tried the built in APRS feature, which works, but seems to have a different LONG/LAT to what i have setup in the station settings, its really odd, does anyone know why this would happen?
thanks in advance
Matt

Re: APRS
Cumulus automatically produces the wxnow.txt file, in the folder where you installed it.M1CMN wrote:how do i get the software to produce the .txt file that UIVIEW requires?
I'm pretty confident that Cumulus sends the correct co-ordinates to APRS. What have you entered in Cumulus, and what is it sending to APRS?on a seperate note - I have tried the built in APRS feature, which works, but seems to have a different LONG/LAT to what i have setup in the station settings, its really odd, does anyone know why this would happen?

Re: APRS
I think you're confusing degrees/minutes/seconds with degrees and decimal minutes, which is the format APRS uses.
51 deg 5 min 29 sec = 51 deg 5.48 min
1 deg 10 min 40 sec = 1 deg 10.66 min
51 deg 5 min 29 sec = 51 deg 5.48 min
1 deg 10 min 40 sec = 1 deg 10.66 min
