Easy Weather, Win2K and data manipulation

Post by rkruse3825 »

I've just joined and can't use all of the features (like private messages), so I'll post this to the forum and hope that it's not redundant.

I'm a retired engineer currently living on a goat farm. Keeping up with rainfall is important for a number of reasons, none of which are germane to my request for assistance.

I recently purchased and installed a Tycon TP 1080 WC. I need to have rainfall accumulation totals from midnight to midnight, not the sliding accumulations for 'the last 24 hours' provided by Easy Weather. I'm running Win2K and needed to find out from 'diymtb' what his procedure was to run Cumulus as a service (I'm computer literate in other areas, but not this one).

I also would like to know if anyone has written a script or small program that will pull this info from Cumulus, or is it available directly from Cumulus?

I'll upgrade to Win7 one day, but would prefer not to have to do so today, so any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

If you have your "rollover" (start/end of meteorological day) set to midnight, then Cumulus logs midnight to midnight rain totals in dayfile.txt each day.
